Erica Miller @togianphotog - The Saratogian: At the Saratoga Springs Middle School, sixth graders had the opportunity during the first period to Skype with their fellow pen pals in Loisaba, Kenya. The students all have pen pals with students in the school, a 8 hour difference they were told. Peter Nemer, with his son Eric and grandson Sebastin Nemer, 11 years old, helped to team up with the school. Peter has helped get computers into the classrooms to help them learn different cultures. This was their first Skype with the class, in Candice Calvin's social studies class, and plan for more in the future. Jackson Nemer, also a grandson to Peter, received his first letter from his pen pal as they Skyped.
