Covered in fresh snow, Division Street Elementary 2nd graders walked to Franklin Community Center to donate roughly 500 items Tuesday morning in celebration of their 100th day of school. Seven year olds Lilah Valazquez and Kristen Shinebarger, of Mrs. Peg Ruben's class, drop off their bags collected with the help of the rest of their school. "They're really caring kids, they really loved it" Mrs. Ruben said. Their classroom goal was 100 items in 100 days, reaching about 500. Currently, in the month of February, with "Caring and Sharing" the school is collecting toiletries in their hallways to be picked up at the end of the month.
